Our vision and aims:

Oulder Hill Leisure Complex is committed to making a positive difference to sport and leisure opportunities in the community through activity programmes, partnerships and education, ensuring that opportunities are available to anyone who may wish to engage in physical activity.

To support and achieve our vision, we are committed to developing our five strategic aims.

1.     Grow – to grow our business ethically and in a sustainable manner.  To promote a healthy lifestyle, and encourage people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to participate in physical activity.

2.     Partnerships – to work with our partners to ensure that the level of programmes we deliver meet the expectations of the local community. Provide opportunities, encouragement and access for all members of the community to get started, stay active and reach their desired level of achievement.

3.    People – build a team, be an exemplary employer and create an atmosphere and common culture where ideas flourish and innovation is embraced, which extends to being proactive and flexible in our approach to working with our wider team of partners. Ensure the team are qualified for their roles and undertake regular training to keep up to date with any changes within the industry.

4.     Facilities – adopt the principles of best value, continuous improvement and best practice in order to deliver quality and consistency at OHLC. Carry out hourly, daily, weekly, monthly checks and audits to make sure that the facilities are always safe and clean for use.

5.     Services – provide a safe and enjoyable experience and excellent customer service for all. Provide an outstanding service to all customers ensuring that everybody is made to feel welcome.  To earn customer loyalty by creating a friendly atmosphere and ensuring all of our customers feel valued.

Key objectives:
To focus our efforts and resource for 2015-20, we have developed and agreed upon a condensed list of strategic priorities underpinning our vision and aims. The key objectives have been agreed by the management team. This increased level of focus and recognition of the priorities to our business will ensure a stronger, collective approach from all to the challenges and opportunities we encounter.

All objectives support the strategic priorities which in turn reflect and complement our vision and focus.

The strategy will cover the following priorities;

Making improvements:
Continuous improvement is vital to focus our efforts and ensure we remain fresh in our ideas and provide a service that is current and responsive to the needs of the local community.   We also develop our centre and our people as we strive to do better in our day to day operations and improve our service and facility.

We are, together with our partners, committed to continuously improve service standards and provide a high quality leisure experience for all users of the facilities. 

Using information captured through customer feedback, surveys, audits and reports we will develop an improvement plan.  This improvement plan will include physical improvements to the centre alongside procedural and administrative improvements.  We will utilise measurement data to assess the impact these improvements have had on our service delivery.
