Our fitness team have been selected for their qualifications, expertise and personalities. Our trainers have a wealth of experience and interests covering a wide range of disciplines.

We aim to give you everything you need to achieve your goals and be the best you can be. We strive to create a friendly, comfortable atmosphere for all. Our team are central to this.

Our fitness team are on hand to guide you, answer any questions you may have, offer nutritional advice, tips and tricks to take home and most of all cheer you on.

As well as being friendly and welcoming, every member of our Fitness Team has a nationally recognised fitness qualification, so you can rest assured you're in safe hands.

Beky Lawrence

Supervisor & Personal Trainer

I’ve always loved sport from being a kid, playing in sports teams both in and out of school. My favourites included football, hockey and netball. I got back into fitness around 3 years ago after recovering from an injury and found that exercise and nutrition accelerated my recovery and started a whole new passion for fitness. Since then I’ve trained as a gym instructor and personal trainer, alongside various exercise classes. Also smashing several of my own goals over the past 18 months including losing 14kg, competing in my very first 5km and 10km, and improved my strength massively. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone at OHLC and helping you achieve your goals.

Fitness goal: Complete my first Triathlon (1.5kmg swim, 40km bike, 10km run.)

Fun fact: I went on my first camping trip at 6 weeks old.

Tom Beal

Duty Manager & Instructor

I first gained an interest in sport and fitness at 12 years old after joining a local junior football club. From this I have completed five years further education in sport including achieving a BSc degree in Sports Science and Coaching.

I have been a qualified RLSS Lifeguard for over 5 years with 5 years experience in the leisure industry. Recently I have taken an interest in CrossFit and Olympic lifting.

Fitness goal: Take part in my first CrossFit competition.

Fun fact: Club captain of Rochdale St Clements FC.
